Strategies to Increase Base Payment Rates: Implementation Guide to ARP Act CCDF Discretionary Supplemental Funding

Description

WRMA’s early childhood subject matter experts at the National Center for Subsidy Innovation and Accountability (NCSIA) collaborated with the Office of Child Care (OCC) and its other national centers to create this resource. The Implementation Guide is part of OCC’s comprehensive technical assistance approach to guide Lead Agencies through use of funds allocated in the American Rescue Plan Act to help states, territories, and tribes recover from COVID-19.

This document provides state Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) leaders with a list of considerations to help them plan for increasing the payment rates to child care providers. Paying at rates that cover child care providers’ costs of providing high quality child care helps ensure that children served in the program receive care that best supports healthy development.

This resource lives on OCC’s Early Childhood Training and Technical Assistance System website. Click the button below to see the resource’s posting there.
