This report is based on 2019 data from the National Adult Maltreatment Reporting System (NAMRS), which is a voluntary data reporting system collecting data from state adult protective services systems. The 2019 report is the fourth annual publication of this data. All states, territories, and the District of Columbia contributed data to this report.
The APS Technical Assistance Resource Center (APS TARC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Community Living (ACL), Office of Elder Justice and Adult Protective Services (OEJAPS).
